In tummy tuck incisions are made just above the pubic area. The length of the incision depends on the amount of skin to be removed. In case of loose skin above the navel, another incision is made around the navel to pull down the redundant skin.  Stretch marks on the lower abdomen may be removed and some would just improve. Some of the risks associated with tummy tuck are tissue loss, bleeding, infection and reactions to anesthesia. Recovery from the stress and from the procedure itself will depend on the extent of procedure done in your abdomen.
